Monday, 21st November: Matt Smith, Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill will be signing copies of the Series 6 DVD at HMV, Westfield, Stratford. There will also be a Q&A. Wristbands are required for the signing and are limited to 250.

Tuesday, 29th November: John Barrowman and Eve Myles will be signing copies of Torchwood: Miracle Day at HMV, Oxford Circus. Again, wristbands are required.

Wednesday, 30th November: Signing at Forbidden Planet, Shaftesbury Avenue. Guests include writers Mark Gatiss, Tom McRae, Gareth Roberts and Steven Moffat.

A number of Who related guests, including Arthur Darvill and Colin Baker, are attending Memorabilia Birmingham at the NEC this weekend. Guests vary per day, check the website for details.

Charisma Carpenter & James Marsters to reunite on Supernatural

TVLine reports that former Buffy and Angel co-stars Charisma Carpenter and James Marsters will appear as husband and wife in the fifth episode of Season Seven, "Shut Up, Dr Phil".

“This episode is ‘Bewitched gone wrong,’” reveals showrunner Sera Gamble. “[It was] all upside for this successful man (Marsters) while he was married to the witch (Carpenter), but now that he’s pissed her off, the whole town is paying the price.”

As a general note, I am happy for any of my photographs posted on Flickr to be reproduced on other sites provided you a) follow the Flickr guidelines and/or provide a link back to this site.

This TVD site has reproduced a number of photographs from the recent Insurgence convention, most of which were taken by myself. In addition they have also posted people's photoshoots without consent of the attendee. Hopefully the site in question will have the decency to remove photos if requested or at least provide credit to those who took the photographs.

(Edit: OK, no decency there! They've even tagged the photos as their own which adds particular insult to injury!).

Showmasters have announced that Karen Gillan will be attending this year's London Film & Comic Con at Earls Court 2. The show runs from 8th-10th July however Karen will only be attending on the Saturday.

Congratulations to Matt Smith who has become the first Doctor Who actor to be nominated for Leading Actor. This is the show's only nomination although Steven Moffat's Sherlock has been nominated for Leading Actor (Benedict Cumberbatch), Supporting Actor (Martin Freeman) and Drama Series.

The BBC have confirmed that they will air a tribute "My Sarah Jane: A Tribute to Elisabeth Sladen" on CBBC on Saturday, immediately after the Series 6 premiere, "The Impossible Astronaut".

Doctor Who is everywhere at the moment, with series 6 just a matter of days away. However one headline which nobody saw coming was tonight's news that Elisabeth Sladen has passed away at the age of 63.

Sladen's Sarah Jane Smith ranks as many Who fan's favourite companions and appeared in two spin-off shows, K9 & Company and the highly successful Sarah Jane Adventures. She will be greatly missed and our thoughts go to her friends and family.

Rogue Events have made the following announcement regarding Jensen Ackles/Jared Padalecki Photoshoots at Asylym 6:

There are 150 Jared and Jensen Double Photo Ops up for grabs. The cost is going to be £140.00. From Friday morning at 9am you have 24 hours to email confirmations@rogueevent.co.uk to register your interest in a ticket. We will then choose at random 150 names who will then be emailed giving details on how to pay for the ticket.

Payment must be made within 7 days.

Any emails before 9am on Friday and after 9am on Saturday will not count.

Please put ‘J2 Photo Op – Asylum 6′ in the subject line on your email so it’s clear for us to deal with.

You can only email once – anyone who emails more than once will have their emails discounted.

You can only request one photo op ticket (sorry)

As we know not everyone is a member of the forum we ask that you please let everyone know so that they can all be in with a chance on getting a ticket. We felt this was the fairest way and allows everyone to have an equal chance to be one of the lucky ones to get the double photo op.

Michael Rosenbaum discusses his return to Smallville

Currently filming "Breaking In", alongside "Reaper"/"V" star Bret Harrison, Rosenbaum spoke to Zap2It about his return to "Smallville" for the show's 2 hour series finale, which airs on May 13th.

"I always wanted to make it work," he says, "but I was really busy. Adam, the creator of 'Breaking In' -- he and I were creating a show that I created, that we sold to SyFy, so we're still developing it. We also wrote a horror movie together. So we were just working a lot and I was doing a movie here or there."

He sighs. "It's so funny how the fans can get so intense." He deepens his voice to an angry tone. "'What is he doing that he can't come back? George Clooney came back to ER, and he can't? How big is he?' I'm like, 'Guys, God, relax.' It's not about that. So one day, I called the producers up, and I just said 'Hey, I'm doing this new show, but I'd love to come back and finish what I started.'" He pauses and laughs. "Which I thought I finished three years ago, by the way, but, let's do this. And they made it happen."

Rosenbaum went to Vancouver about two weeks ago to shoot his final scenes, and he had a great time getting into character... with the help of a new accessory. "I had a bald cap that looked amazing," he says. "I couldn't shave my head because I was on 'Breaking In.'"

He confesses that he did initially have a few reservations about going back to the "Smallville" set. "There were personal reasons why I quit 'Smallville' that no one really knows about, that I never really talk about. It was just personal things, that I just never talked about. It was nobody else's business. But I never heard the end of it," he says, chuckling. "Look, I always said I never thought it would last 10 seasons. I can barely have a relationship lasts 10 days. Ten years on a TV show? That's a long time. But then they started calling me out. I finally said, 'You know what guys? I want to do this. Let's just do this.' I want to do it the right way, I want to do it for the fans. I swear to God I did it for the fans. I never want to hear 'Why didn't you go back?' I wanted it to end the way it should have."

Two Doctor Who Mini Episodes for Comic Relief

Steven Moffat has confirmed that two episodes, lasting about four minutes each, will air on March 18th as part of Comic Relief.

“Two episodes. Two mini-episodes. Very, very small episodes – maybe eight minutes in total, so that’s around four minutes each. It’s not a spoof. It’s in the style of the ones that we’ve done for Children In Need, so it’s taken seriously as a proper bit of Doctor Who – funny, but not a sketch. A little miniature story. One’s called ‘Space’ and one’s called ‘Time’, so they’re Space & Time. And there’s a moment with two Amy Ponds in it. If you’re a red-blooded male surely that’s enough! You’ve got Amy Pond flirting with herself.”

.. I think they’re really good, really very funny. It’s Matt, Karen and Arthur, and there isn’t a guest character. It’s just the three of them. A moment of life aboard the TARDIS. But obviously life about the TARDIS instantly gets you into terrible jeopardy, and all of causality is threatened. As I’m sure it is every day when they get up and have their coffee…”

Glee Cast Take Record For Most Top 100 Hits

Billboard reports that with six debuts on the Hot 100 due to feature tomorrow, the Glee cast will have scored 113 songs on the chart, beating the previous record of 108 held by Elvis Presley - although it is noted that Presley scored numerous hits prior to the Hot 100's launch in 1958.

Nine songs from the show currently feature on the Hot 100. It's most successful release remains the cover of Journey's "Don't Stop Believin".

Michael Rosenbaum returning for Smallville Finale

Michael Rosenbaum has confirmed to TVLine that he will be reprising his role as Lex Luthor in the season finale, which airs on May 13th.

“I’m delighted to return for the series finale,” Rosenbaum tells TVLine exclusively. “I’m simply doing it for all of the fans out there who made Smallville the great success it is. I appreciate all of their passion, their relentlessness, and even their threats. Ha ha.”

Rosenbaum will also be appearing in the new Fox comedy "Breaking In" (which co-stars Bret Harrison and Christian Slater) which premieres on April 6th.

Laura Vandervoort (Kara) and Callum Blue (Zod) are also returning to the show.

HIMYM "Bad News" Countdown

The latest episode of How I Met Your Mother, "Bad News" featured the return of Sandy Rivers and the Sensory Deprivator 5000, together with a little bit of Robin Sparkles and the discovery of the fifth and final doppelganger. The episode's ending shocked many viewers and raised questions over the countdown which ran throughout the show. Executive producer Carter Bays spoke to TV Squad about the episode.

"You talk about a difficult assignment... It's hard to add a sense of foreboding to a sitcom," Bays said. "But we wanted to add a sense that something was amiss, and this kind of felt like the way to do it."
